Add Duck Foot® to the list of Swedish innovations. A patented plasterboard fixing developed to make it easy for anyone to hang anything on a plasterboard. Duck Foot® is super easy to install and gives a strong installation in 12-26 mm plasterboard!
A heavy duty fixing
There are a variety of fixings available for hanging objects on plasterboards, but when you hang heavy objects on plasterboards you can't use ordinary wall plugs. The wall plugs do expand as you screw into them, but the plasterboard is soft and the expansion simply widens the hole you have put the plug into. In no time at all it will work loose.
What you need is a heavy duty plasterboard fixing that distribute the weight on a larger area behind the wall. That's exactly what Duck Foot® does.
Duck Foot® is a heavy duty plasterboard fixing that holds up to 50 kg (110 pounds) in shear load which makes it the perfect fixing when installing heavy items on plasterboard such as TVs, shelves, radiators, curtain rails etc.
Good to know! The more anchors you use, the stronger the attachment gets.
It's self drill
When installing ordinary heavy duty plasterboard fixings you need special tools to get the job done. This is difficult and time consuming if you're not handy.
Duck Foot® plasterboard fixing is the worlds easiest heavy duty fixing to install. It's a self drill fixing that only makes a 12 mm hole in the wall. You don't need to use a separate drill to pre-drill the hole, a hammer to hammer in the fixing or a expansion tool to expand the fixing behind the plasterboard. The only thing you need is a screw driver (bit-holder) and PH2-bit.
Drill, Push, Attach.
It's that easy.
Made for all plasterboard walls
If you're going to attach heavy items on a plasterboard and won't find a stud behind the wall you can't use only a screw, nail or a ordinary wall plug because plasterboard is a very porous material. What you need is a heavy duty plasterboard fixing like Duck Foot®. Unlike a ordinary wall plug that expands in the drilled hole, the Duck Foot® plasterboard fixing expands behind the plasterboard and distribute the weight on the back of the wall.
Plasterboards come in different thicknesses, the most common plasterboard thickness used in residential buildings is 12.5mm and in some walls you'll find double plasterboards (25mm). Unlike traditional fixings like the Molly anchor, Duck Foot® is a universal fixing that works for all plasterboard thicknesses, from 12-26mm. This means that you don't need to know the thickness of your wall.
